Divya's includes culinary education, a line of good-for-you packaged goods, a plant-based restaurant in New York City, and a series of best-selling textbooks written by founder and executive chef Divy…
We go to Divya's Kitchen every chance we get when in the city. This was a short trip so we are glad we could order. Great, healthy, Ayurveda inspired foods that support the body and optimize digestion. The Seasonal Kitchari was delicious, as well as the Pan-Seared Paneer. The Sunflower Beet Hummus was a wonderful appetizer with extra Spelt Crackers. For dessert we had Rose Chocolate Mousse and Pistachio Fudge, which were light and rich with flavor. We always digest well because Divya makes her food with love and food combining rules in mind.

Amazing, healthy & tasty food, ALWAYS! I'm a Divya fan! The vegetables are fresh, the grains are tender and the sauce is well balanced and delicious. Light yet filling.

The Soothing Mung Soup is always incredibly nurturing and filling, especially in colder climates. I have food sensitivities, and this place never fails to nourish and satiate :)

The packaging leaves something to be desired. Opening up the soup, the top flipped off and the hot soup jumped out and spilled out knocking the opened quinoa onto the floor. What a mess!!! The salad was good and fresh but most of the dressing stayed stuck in the container because it was too thick. Using a fork to get the dressing out was hopeless.

i'm going to agree with one of the reviewers who said the palak paneer bowl could have been perfect if they pureed or at least finely chopped the leaves. it really really really does not work as huge chewy chunks... and is very hard to chew that way. also, my parter really didnt like the cranberries. BUT aside from leaf texture/size/difficulty it was fresh and good.
the Soothing Mung Soup however was the showstopper. it's simple and plain, and yet (even though we normally want things spiced to the max), we found its freshness and simplicity to be just.... IT. it really is soothing and lovely and delicious. not boring at all. (except I personally would just outright call it Dal.)
