• 25-02-16We were 'first-timers' but it came highly recommended. We absolutely LOVED everything. It was all still warm and so so good.
The fried green tomatoes were the best we've ever had. Cole Slaw was amazing, fried chicken was off the charts, cornbread- don't even get me started.
Literally some of the BEST homestyle, comfort food we've ever had. First timers turned LIFERS!

• 26-04-01Let me start by saying this is the 4th day eating at this restaurant. (Friday-Monday) Mac n cheese 10/10, Candied Yams 10/10, Collard Greens 5/10 (Salty and I normally eat mixed greens with meat), gravy (5/10 bland and tasted burnt), Smothered Chicken has a hint of spicy 8/10. Overall 8/10. Good portions and nicely prepared. The company should invest in drinks.

• 24-10-11I ordered Oxtails (with extra gravy and rice on the side) with greens and a side of Candied Yams and Pair of Biscuits. The oxtails were a nice portion but getting the rice on the side just wasn't enough. They were tender and delicious but had a hint of sweetness (not overpowering but not my preference either), the yams were too sweet for me but still good. the greens were yummy and the biscuits were good. I wish their side items were of better portion size for $6. I will definitely try this place again but I will dine in instead
*side bar ... don't pay attention to the Mac and cheese I made that myself lol

Really wanted this to be good. Really. It wasn't, at least for me. Had both types of greens, coleslaw, 2 thighs, and a fish sandwich. Oh, fried deviled eggs too. Portions. Way small for the price. I expected more based on the online price. Did I say small ? Fried deviled eggs were rubbery (4 half eggs) way overcooked. The filling was plain and dull, and the coating was chewy - most I could compare it to is bad frozen onion ring breading. Coleslaw. Okay. A bit of red peppers or spice added. A nice touch of the pepper tho' not overwhelming. Small serving again. The slaw was an upgrade over the fries with the fish sandwich for a $2 upcharge. Best of what I ordered was fish sandwich. Fish sandwich fillet was crispy and well prepared. Both kinds of greens were prepared well at just the right tenderness.

• 25-11-13Chicken, sides (potato salad and candied yams), and cornbread were all delicious. The Fried Deviled Eggs were good, but not worth $14 for just 4 eggs.
