I work in the strip formosa is in, but never ordered before today. The owners are always so kind when we cross paths BUT lets talk about the food. I ordered 9. Fried Chicken Wing (6) and they stole the show. They were fried perfectly & had a great fresh taste to them. The 5. Crab & Cheese Wonton (6) came with extra sauce and that was a plus (they were also delicious). I ordered a side of 14. Plain Lo Mein and the portion was HUGE. Definitely enough for two people to split. & lets talk about the prices. Compared to other local Chinese food joints Formosa had cheaper prices, bigger portions & the quality was great. Give Formosa a shot next time - im super picky & wasn't disappointed, you wont be either.

I noticed that some places don't make egg drop soup very well anymore; frequently too much cornstarch is used, making the soup unpleasantly thick as if they were trying to make the broth mimic egg yolk. This is incorrect. This place does it just fine- it's a nice, rich broth that has been thickened, but not so much as to make me want to water it down. It even reheats very well the next day. This is perfect go-to comfort food for when you're not feeling well, or even for when you want to feel cozy, and of course any other time. It's a timeless classic, and this is my new favorite place for egg drop soup and many other dishes that they serve here. And, my goodness, always get some combo fried rice! This is also perfect to me.

Only complaint is the " 11. Sesame Chicken " came with absolutely no sesame seeds. Aside from that, the food showed up hot and fresh. Good flavor. Huge portions. Ordered the small 3. Egg Drop Soup and it's more than one person could eat. Would order again.

I ordered the Mongolian delight, which looked great in the photos here - loaded with meat, however, what I received it was mostly onions with a few pieces of meat . Beef was tough to the point that I was spitting it out and feeding it to my dogs because I couldn't chew it.

I had the 1. Fried Chicken Wing (6) with Fried Rice the chicken and the rice were delicious, everything was seasoned to perfection, however, the egg was 1. Egg rolls (2) were nasty. If I do decide to order from here again I will not add the egg rolls to my order. The portions were great for the price and the food did taste fresh.
