Gammeok is the finest way to introduce Korea and Korean cuisine. It was initially held on February 2, 1990, at 43 W 32nd St in Manhattan, als…
The kimchi was great. It was actually some of the best kimchi I've ever had. The Spicy Flavored Jokbal however, was one of the worst. It was bland and there was very little meat for what I assumed would be a full trotter. I'd say the portion was about half the amount of meat on a full trotter and the rest was vegetables. I was a bit disappointed because Jokbal is my favorite dish so I was looking forward to trying this. I wouldn't order the spicy Jokbal again, unfortunately.

Packaging was clean and satisfactory. I got Soon Tofu w seafood. Edit--very spicy. And it was actually really really bland. Barely any spice, the tofu kind of carried it. There were plenty of mussels and a few teeny tiny shrimp and on overdone egg yolk at the bottom. Kimchi was nice, but lacking in nappa.
I didn't finish it. And that's a bummer. Will not order again

I was skeptical at first because the container appeared small n the soup was milky but pretty bland. I knew the real test would be when it's refrigerated and if it would become gelatinous or stay liquid and it was definitely all gelatinous which means it's the real deal. After adding salt, pepper n green onions - which I requested on the side - it was pretty good and it had a good amount of dogani. Came w a soy sauce dip for the dogani. I also liked the kimchi and kkakdugi- you have to cut it yourself, which I like, reminds me of how they do it in some spots in Korea.

Seolleng Tang was so good! I asked that they don't add salt and green onions to the soup because I noticed other Korean restaurants add them in delivery orders and they actually listened. I don't know if it's their default not to but didn't want to risk it. The kimchi is delicious and the Extra Sundaeguk Sundae was also very delectable. Will definitely order again!

This is what they sent for $20 abai soondae. Poorly packaged, ridiculous quality of food- all dried up and chalky
