Needed some great latino food today and this restaurant has it! Loved their Lechon Asado Bowl, which was crispy outside, sautéed onions and tender meat inside. Served with white rice and The Black Beans! OMG. The tostones was subbed and glad I did. Great portion too.

Generally pretty good! The pork bowl, beans, and plantains were delicious! Unfortunately, the yucca fries were underdone and the side of guac, which was $4, was the size of a free side of ketchup you get with fries...

I quite literally can't get enough of this $4 side of Side Of Guacamole. Please let me know if the garlic aioli that comes with the Patatas Bravas is good because I wouldn't know. The Medianoche Croquetas are good. The mustard sauce is an odd pairing. I'd prefer a kind of garlic aioli but...we've already read that chapter of this book.
The Cubano would be great in person. Five to ten minutes in a car and it's a great flavor but soft as a pillow. Even the bread isn't perfect. It tastes like someone telling you about an awesome sandwich they had this one time.

This has become our Go To delivery place when my girlfriend and her daughter are in town. They're both allergic to wheat and soy, and this has to be one of the cleanest, most delicious menus in town. Most items are gluten free and soy free.
Guavas is classic, unfussy, Caribbean comfort food. The Lechon Asado Bowl and Chicharron de Pollo, and Shrimp Bowl are favorites, but we've discovered after about ten orders that you can't go wrong with anything. Portions are big enough for leftovers too.
Pro Tip: sub Moro Rice!

This is the best Cuban pork ( Lechon Bowl ) I've had in Minneapolis since I lived in Miami in the 90's. The flavor was spot on, and it was incredibly tender. The bowl comes with black beans, rice, grilled onions, and plantains. It's perfect.
The Pastelitos (guava and cheese) was also a nice transport back in time.
This place is worth every penny. I can't wait to try other things, if I can pry myself away from the Lechon Bowl!
