Great Reuben Sandwich ! Substantial; it's big enough for two. Love the thousand island dressing which tastes house made. Love the Bowl of Matzo Ball soup, filled with a generous amount of matzo balls. The broth is perfectly seasoned. Will definitely order again.

Mashed potatoes are very bland.
The pastrami sandwich is great except they don't drain out the juices enough because the bread soaks it up. I only had the sourdough and it's decent not the best sourdough. The bag was not fully secure because looks like someone tried to get into the hole on the side of the tie. The pastrami makes me go back for now.

BBQ Lamb shank to die for, potato pancakes so good with applesauce and sour cream. rice putting and apple strudel are the best. lemon bars really sweet and lemony. Meat loaf is so rich get extra gravy, Chicken liver sandwich is so silky smooth get on white bread. Stuffed cabbage also a winner. We eat here regularly, so thankful and appreciate the extra attentions when calling.

Gunther's never dissappoints good German food, the red cabbage is so sweet and soft! Apple Strudel is the best in San Jose! BBQ Lamb Shank always flavorful and filling. Appreciate the side care in packaging and extras included with the meal.
