Looking for something good to eat? Try the best pizzas in Houston. Italian Express Pizzeria remains one of the most popular in Houston thanks to its fresh offerings and classic pizzas. Give their menu…
I always go by this place and think that it is probably not going to be good. Well, was I WRONG!!!! The pie was AMAZING and it is now my fav. Sorry Russo's, the Hut, Papa(7@?,!, etc., you get the picture! Thanks for the 18 " pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, poppers, and DEFINITELY The Dinner Rolls!! They are in a different place.
Thank you for your perfect

The best Italian day good, hands down. pasta is cooked right, sauce is quite good, loads of cheese... it's shockingly good. You're unsure about the pizza fries. Trust me. It's wonderful, large portion, plenty of toppings, and the only time fries and pizza ever tasted good together.

Pizza was super good! The crust was on point, toppings were fresh, and I got extra cheese so it was super cheesy how I like it.
I also ordered the 6 piece wings. I got the lemon pepper flavor and they were amazing as well. This is definitely my new go to pizza and wings spot. 5/5 for sure.

I genuinely didn’t want to write this, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Despite the many glowing reviews and the restaurant’s popularity in the community, I have to say, this is not authentic Italian food.
Before posting this, I actually reached out to the owner to discuss my concerns directly, hoping there might be some resolution or understanding. I wasn’t looking for a refund, just a chance to have the food remade, as I thought maybe we’d just received an off batch. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
We ordered two dishes: the meatballs with spaghetti and the chicken parmesan. The meatballs tasted pre-packaged, like something from a frozen bag, and the chicken had the texture and look of processed nuggets topped with marinara and cheese. The pasta itself was extremely waterlogged, as if it had been pre-cooked earlier in the day and reheated later.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, especially for a local spot that many people in the community support. But I believe people should know what to expect before dining here. This isn’t traditional Italian cuisine, it’s more of an Italian-inspired menu, and unfortunately, not executed with the care or quality one might hope for. In an area with limited dining options, I understand why people might accept this as good food, but in my opinion, it falls far short.

ok so if like to support local businesses but when the food could be better or the value of the food could be better, to I'll leave a comment.
the wings were average sized, almost smallish and the sauce was just "ok", BUT to Charge $27 for 20 average sized wings with "ok" sauce is A RIP OFF. Your prices are way too high for the value AND quality of the wings! At THAT price point buffalo wild wings is THE go to for their quality AND tasty sauce. there are way TOO MANY OTHER hot wing shops and competitors in this area that offer either a better wing product...a better sauce... or a better price point or ALL 3. I will NOT order wings from here again when you are charging over $1 dollar per Wing. Some places even offer french fries at that same price point to help increase the value to their customers. you do not. I would recommend adding additional wings to the order number or offer fries or fried mushrooms or some other "side" to show more value to Us... your customers.
The Pizza that I ordered was decent. still a bit average, taste wise but the price point was acceptable and the quality was fine... HOWEVER, Papa John's and Pizza Hut quality is very comparable to yours and they usually have a pizza or two on sale in the price range that I paid for THIS pizza.
I'm not criticizing just to complain because I'd like to support local small business. I hope after reading this you can offer a better $Value$, ESPECIALLY for the wings that you sell. The pizza was ok. I think I'll order here again for the pizza.
Sincerely,
A Close Neighbor
