Our first dinner in NYC after a long day was so perfect! I briefly saw another review saying the portions were good and they really! Everything arrived packaged with care. The food was warm and fresh. My first impression was WOW big soups! Our two special rolls filled their entire container and they even packed us a whole little container of extra ginger per my request. The shumai was the perfect little side. The soup was delicious and revived our souls. Both rolls were delicious, but my favorite was the Sapporo roll! I love a sweet and savory combo, so the drizzle of mango sauce on it was so satisfying! My mom seconds all of this. We highly recommend Nara Sushi!

I got the Tuna Avocado, Spicy Shrimp, and Yellowtail Scallion. Each roll was really good, and I love how large the chunk of avocado and fish were.

Large portions and very fair price. Great flavors. Nice that you can order extra wasabi! Quick delivery. Can make special requests and all were fulfilled. Always has been a nice addition to the SoHo neighborhood, and enjoy ordering from this spot.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, the takeout order was a big letdown. The packaging was a mess — all the sushi rolls were jumbled together, making it hard to tell what was what. The rice was dry and hard, and the overall texture just didn’t taste fresh.
The tuna and yellowtail both tasted off — definitely not fresh — and the shrimp was dried out. For the price, I expected much better quality and care. Sadly, I won’t be ordering from here again.

The quality was poor all around -- the rolls were loose and fell apart when picked up, the flavors were bland and the Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll had very chewy bits of rice inside and outside of the rolls.
