• 24-03-12The side salad was the biggest and freshest I've received from my many door dash deliveries. The Sweet Sriracha Chicken Bites were delicious. The chicken was very moist and I loved the breaded red pepper strips with it. The Steakhouse Mac & Cheese was also perfect.

• 3 days agoOutback Steakhouse has great tasting steak. But there overall portion sizes are abismally small compared to the price tag you are paying. I'd get Texas Roadhouse or longhorn before I ever got Outback again.

I do want to strongly urge Outback to give diners the option of no seasoning or light seasoning on the steaks. I watch my sodium intake carefully and the seasonings that Outback uses are not only quite salty, but, for me, the pepper in the seasoning mix is overwhelming. It actually burns my mouth. Usually, when we get filets from Outback, I simply request that no seasoning be used. But, in this case, since I placed our orders through DoorDash, for pick-up, no 'special instructions' were permitted. As a result, I ended up with a very good cut of beef which I was unable to eat due to the seasoning used.
I only wish I had taken a picture of the veggies before we plated everything, but I didn't think to do that!
The vegetable side dishes were an issue. We paid $3.99 for an order of asparagus. The asparagus was tough, stringy, and partially inedible. The spears were extraordinarily slender, yellowed, and other than the ever-present seasoning, flavorless. If you charge the exorbitant price of $3.99 for 8 sad, limp, little (VERY little) spears, you should be certain that the asparagus is of decent quality---or simply not offer it. Customers are entitled to rely on the chef's judgment of quality vegetables because they cannot judge that quality for themselves before ordering.
My husband's sweet potato was very good, the bread was(as usual) good, and the steamed broccoli was acceptable(a bit on the yellow side, but alright).
I would order the filets again (without the seasoning!), but unless I could be assured that the asparagus was of very good quality, I'd never order it again.
Given that beef prices today make this a very expensive meal, there's quite a bit of room for improvement.
