• 24-07-11The Plato Vegetariano (Veggie Platter) was very filling and delicious! It easily turned into 2 filling meals. The yuca was soft and flavorful, reminded me of Cuban cooking I can only find in Miami!

• 23-12-10Food was okay, im from PR and eat Cuban often. Price point is on brand for Frederick but the flavors and quantity do not match the price. The food lacks that Cuban feel im used to. The rice was overcooked (fell more to the stricky rice area). Beans lacked flavor and was soupy and not guisada.
The Bistec de Palomilla (Cuban Grilled Steak) was okay, flavor was bland and onions was not cooked enough so some were on the raw side and some were cooked.
The Empanadas were ok, only complaint is the the paper theunormally wrap the food in was fried with my empanadas and stuck to the side of them.
The Tostones I was disappointed in. I love a thin and crispy one but I got 5 of the thinnest tostones for $6. It was probably not even a third of the platano. I would say they were good but that price should come done or serve up maybe a few more.
The mojos were ok, the garlic mojo tastes like it has been sitting for sometime though.
Lastly, the Tres Leche $8 and you can taste that it is not that fresh. Could be some of the milk ingredients used. Im leaning towards the sauce spread over top and perhaps it was sitting longer than it should.
I have had food here before and was not a fan but wanted to try again.
I would have given a better rating to the Empanadas if there was not fried paper attached.

• 21-12-05Everything was AMAZING!! Very pleased with this order. The Masitas de Puerco was nice huge chunks and deep fried to perfection! The Camarones Echilados perfect and delicious! Loved the added jalapeño in it! The savory green plantains that come with are the best. This order was a little soggy but good.

• 26-04-29The Cubano meat was super dry, the Yuca Frita was thick, really pale looking. I love yuca fries and I try them at pretty much every restaurant that serves them, and these are probably the blandest I've had. The Papa Rellena tasted fine, but it wasn't all together and was really hard to eat.

• 26-05-16This is my favorite Latin restaurant in Frederick. I always get the pernil with rice and beans. Today I was disappointed with my order. I don't know if I ordered too early or if they have a new kitchen staff but the pork looked different and tasted different. It was very tough today. It's always been tender and juicy which is why i always get it. First picture is how it usually looks. Second picture the color of the meat is off like it was marinated in something or sitting in fluid. The plantains are there just not pictured.
