Though we've never been able to understand the rave reviews about Shake Shack burgers - they seem pretty par for the course to us; certainly better quality than low-end fast-food burgers yet nothing particularly spectacular for higher end fast food - but, everyone has their favs, right? We do think the fries are especially good, especially considering they usually arrive cold and are still delicious. And the hot dog is always top-notch quality, perfectly flat-topped. Today's surprise was the Black Truffle Shroom Burger. It was spectacular. Great crunch, gooey cheesiness, succulent portobello and rich flavorful black truffle sauce...Yum, almost worth the nearly $13. price. Gotta say overpriced for the type of food, but very good quality and overall flavor if budget's not a consideration.

The Fried Pickles with Ranch were superb. The Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles was absolutely delicious. I hope that shake shack keeps these items on the menu permanently. The Banana Pudding Shake was a tasty treat to finish off the meal. 10/10!

The food I ordered was just "meh". The Bacon Cheese Fries had maybe 15 little tiny clippings of bacon on it. After adding the cheese which I ordered on the side, I Definitely didn't notice the flavor of bacon. The burger was forgettable and the hot dog was ok. It was what I expected it to be. The shake was the highlight of the show

Burgers are very small for the price. They are always falling apart and poorly made. Ask for tomatoes? Expect to be surprised they make tomatoes that small and only one of them at that. Honestly shocked this place is so popular. Tried their whole menu at this point. Chicken Shack is just salt, that's the flavor. Hardly any of their herb mayo is ever on it. Want more sauce? Pay for it. The shakes are good, hard to mess those up. Tiny poorly made expensive burgers, that's the review in a nutshell.

The Chicken Shack is huge and so good. Chocolate and Vanilla shake was perfect and I wanted more even though I was full. Burgers and fries always fresh.
