The Big Bean has been our go to breakfast spot since we moved to Exeter a few years ago. The quality for takeout and dining in has declined drastically over the past several months. Six dollars for two pieces of sausage? A veggie omelette so greasy that it actually put a hole in the takeout box? Sadly, I think it's time for us to find a new breakfast joint.

The food is overall good, though not amazing. However, I paid $1.30 to add spinach to my Mac and cheese because I wanted a serving of a vegetable. I received maybe five leaves of spinach. I don’t expect eating out to be cheap, but if you’re going to offer vegetables as add-ons, provide a real serving and price accordingly.

*1 French Toastwas okay for the price and *Side of Bacon was cooked perfectly, I am a bit concerned about the lack of a tamper seal on my drink. Theres a hole in the lid to drink out of and there was no sticker or seal covering it
