I love the Black Whale. Food is consistently good, the filet minon and the chicken à la vodka are absolutely delicious, as well as all the seafood dishes. My ONLY complaint is that they are consistently out of green beans, and they don't ever remove the things they're out of from their ordering menu...
Other than that, Black Whale is great!
So - just a tip - don't ever expect to get green beans if you order them...they're more than likely out of them

A great choice from their extensive menu that can't be beat. The Shaggy Dog has only the freshest, exceptional quality ingredients you expect at a 5 star establishment. You can taste the freshness & it's professionally prepared...One of my faves. Never disappoints.

The scallop roll was well stuffed with six large scallops perfectly cooked....the rest of the presentation? Needs improvement....soggy toasted bun, brown lettuce and less than a tablespoon of tartar sauce.
The Piri Piri Octopus? Will be ordering it again! Well cooked well seasoned....fingerling potatoes in a great spicy sauce w/ watercress and shredded carrots.

Price keeps getting higher and portion is much smaller this time around. Not impressed paying nearly $30 for 14 pieces of shrimp. I usually order this dish but honestly won't again knowing I'm not even receiving a decent amount of food for the price I paid.

Portuguese Clams Casino was very very good. No sand, tasted very fresh. My mouth exploded with flavor while eating this. Wish the portion was a little bigger for the price but other than that the food was excellent.
