There is no shortage of restaurants today that offer some version of plant-based cooking. These are fine options for a healthy meal, but if you’re looking for that real-deal, old-school vegetarian foo…
Always solid! THE RADICAL REUBEN™ is my go to and is so large it is good for at least 2 meals. The dressing makes the sandwich and the choices for sides suit any mood (flash greens and mac n cheese are great). I finally tried dessert and had a DONNIE'S PEANUT BUTTER PUCK; it is worth the hype.

The CAESAR SALAD is SO delicious and plentiful!! The dressing is creamy and perfect. MASHED POTATO & GRAVY oh la la perfection!! And the side of scrambled tofu... again, enormous portion and mouth wateringly good!!

I love Chicago Diner and have ordered here many times. Their sauces are so good- idk what they put in their creole mustard but just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I used to think the SUV sandwich was crazy (what veg/vegan would go to a restaurant where we get the WHOLE menu and order a veggie sandwich?!) but one time it was accidentally included in my delivery and it was so good that I have ordered it every delivery since. I love Chicago diner. Love love love. (Though I wish they made their own guac in house or excluded it all together.)

The Waffle fries were really good and so was the flavor of the BUDDHA'S KARMA BURGER but it was a little dry. I was also pretty disappointed to see the "slice" of LEMON COCONUT CAKE I paid $10 for was more like half a slice (pictured as is upon arrival). I really wanted to like this place because there aren't many vegan and gluten free restaurants with a huge variety in their menu, but it was too pricey and just eh overall. There are better options if you're looking for quality vegan takeout at a decent price.

Boringly bad. The ice cream was impossible to open, had been frozen, thawed, then frozen, and smelled strongly of soap. The black bean burger was awful, not a patty at all just crumbles, the bun was super stale, terrible meal, waste of $40z
