Just had the curry goat plate and collard greens, and this meal delivered serious Caribbean soul.
The curry goat was tender, well-seasoned, and slow-cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with rich curry flavor, balanced spices, and that authentic homemade taste that lets you know it was made with care. The meat was falling off the bone and soaked up every bit of that savory gravy.
The collard greens & cabbage were the perfect side—seasoned just right with deep, comforting flavor and a soulful touch that complemented the boldness of the curry goat.
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Big flavors, generous portions, and a plate that feels like comfort food with Caribbean roots. Traphouse Caribbean brought the vibes and the flavor. Definitely a spot worth coming back to when you’re craving something real.

Ordered the Oxtail Plate with collard greens and Mac n cheese. Im from Louisiana and was a bit skeptical to purchase. Needless to say; it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! All items seasoned to perfection with the oxtails literally FALLING OFF THE BONE (just how I like it). It was perfectly proportioned to complete my craving and fulfill my hunger needs all at the same time!

Braised Oxtail Plate the oxtail were small, and there was more rice than anything. I got macaroni and cabbage as my sides, which were basically half a scoop. For this price I could have had a better filling meal somewhere else.

Every single item was soooooo good!!!! The brown stew chicken was so tender. The mac & cheese was super creamy. The collard greens were super flavorful the tacos, the tacos so delicious if I were to rank the three Tacos that I purchased the asada was my favorite then the chicken and then the shrimp, the trap juice super super good and perfectly sweet if I were to rank anything, not a 10 it would be the rum cake. It was a little too sweet for me. If ever I am in the Austin area I will definitely be going to this restaurant and I highly recommend it.

cold mac and cheese that looks and tastes like it was made with cheap low quality, processed cheese (think velveeta) and an awkward choice of penne pasta. huge chunks of unevenly-cut carrots in the oxtail stew. stems of thyme left with the thick woody inedible part of the herb inside the oxtail gravy. (stripping off the fresh leaves is a better practice). chewy and not tender oxtail meat itself, that was poorly trimmed and still very fatty/flabby. served a small portion of meat (literally only 2 bones) for a $30 plate is wild. gross potato salad.
rum cake was dense and gummy. not flavourful. but too wet and sticky and too dry in the middle. rather embarrassing to the actual Caribbean standard.
