Family owned and operated, Kashin opened its doors in 1991 with the intention of bringing the freshest and most authentic Japanese cuisine to the Triangle. Twenty-five years and a generation later, we…
I have been visiting this restaurant for over 3 years since I moved to the area. Kashin is an outstanding location for authentic Japanese food. Without a doubt the best miso soup in Raleigh. The food is consistently incredible, prepared with care and attention. The staff is polite and earnest. The kitchen staff is talented and detailed. I would recommend Kashin to anyone and I will continue to patronize this location so long as I am in Raleigh.

These rolls were TASTY!! They were filling, fresh, and had thick pieces of fish/seafood in them. They were so good, I want to order again tomorrow. The fresh salmon and tuna melted in my mouth. They threw in the side of spicy mayo I requested for free, so that was a nice surprise. The to-go bag had a mint in it, so that was a nice surprise. Very impressed and can't say enough good things about this sushi spot.

The portions the Beef Tataki were amazing. Especially compared to the picture. 1.2 ounces of sirloin steak for 14 dollars? What an amazing deal! Seriously though, if it was wagyu I might look past this but this is pathetic. Unfortunately they were the first place offering beef tataki.

Extremely small portions for the price you pay. Shrimp Shrimp Tempura Roll was the most depressing of the items ordered. Miso is good but maybe 6oz for the price.

The yakitori I enjoyed, as well as the miso soup and the side salad. But the Ten-don was not very good, the tempura was a bit soggy and the dish did not have much flavor at all. The price was not at all worth it and I feel like I wasted money
