The Combo Family Bucket Meal delivered great value and flavor for our family of 4. Plenty of meat with leftovers, though side portions could be more generous.
## What We Loved
- **Excellent BBQ flavor** - the seasoning and smoke taste were spot-on
- **Generous meat portions** - fed 4 people with leftovers in the meat tray
- **Pork ribs were a hit** with most of the family
## Areas for Improvement
- **Side portions felt small** compared to the generous meat servings
- **BBQ beans too spicy** for kids and some adults
- **Potato salad had strong onion flavor** that the kids didn't enjoy
- **French bread was just okay** - nothing special
## Menu Suggestions
To make this even more family-friendly, consider adding:
- Mac and cheese option
- Macaroni salad
- Corn on the cob or corn ribs
- Green bean salad for lighter veggie options
- Corn muffins instead of plain french bread

3-9-24: This is my first time placing my order thru Door Dash with JC’s BBQ & Deli {1080 Saratoga Ave, San Jose} approximately 2.0 miles to my destination . I ordered the Lunch Plate and chose BBQ Chicken and Hot Link with two sides of Potato Salad , and a can of coke {$22.45} , side of Garlic Bread {$3.00} ; Sub Total {$25.45}, Delivery Fee {$0.00}, Service Fee {$1.99}, Tax {$2.39}, Tip {$4.50} Total order {$34.33}.
BBQ chicken: Unflavored BBQ SAUCE! who makes their Sauce. No kind of flavor or smoke or any flavors at all! Was this sauce out of a bottle. The chicken was okay
Hot Link: Sauce same as the BBQ Chicken? No flavors. The hot link was a chopped up hot link that was just average as far as taste goes . Should have left as a link and not chopped it into little pieces
Potato Salad {Double Sides}: Very Bland tasting served in a plastic container that’s not full at all. Maybe 1/3 full
Garlic Bread: appears to be 2 rolls split apart and no garlic taste at all. Not really garlic bread
*Overall review of JC’s BBQ & Deli is I come to the consensus as the other 4 people leaving reviews {as of this review there were 5 Reviews}. THIS IS NOT BBQ! For what I received my first time, I’m not impressed! I rate this place a 2 Star. Several comments about the place is going down hill not the same as it was before {2/26}, Hopefully they improve but it will be a L O N G TIME before considering this place.

• 22/01/25The food is average but they do not care at all about quality or presentation. The menu items dont come with what they say they come with. Was supposed to get beans but got potato salad instead. Brunt garlic bread. The ribs had barely any meat on them either. Super disappointing.
