John and Ruth Duncan opened Duncan’s Dairy Bar on May 19, 1939, in the same location it stands today. Initially a seasonal ice cream stand, the menu expanded around 1955 to include sandwiches, breakfa…
This is my second time ordering from Duncan’s, and it’s exactly the kind of local business you want to support. The people there are genuinely kind, and the food is amazing.
The first time I ordered, my home fries were missing and my pancake wasn’t quite right. When I reached out, they were incredibly friendly and remade everything fresh without hesitation. They even included a bag of what looked like homemade cinnamon rolls, which were absolutely delicious and definitely appreciated!
Mistakes happen everywhere, but what matters is how a business handles them, and Duncan’s handled it with so much care and grace. I’m very happy to support them again and wanted to leave a review to let others know this is one of the best places to eat in the Troy/Brunswick area!

I didn't get the Grilled Cheese & Tomato like I wanted but still paid 95 cents more for a basic grilled cheese sandwich with no tomato. Also the cinnamon raisin toast for my omelette was actually a biscuit like muffin. Tasted good so I guess that will make up for the 95 cents. The star was the Monte Cristo Sandwich . It was awesome. Haven't tried the Turkey Pot Pie yet. Good size portion on the coffee and the hot chocolate. Dasher Vicki was quick and polite.

Bananas Foster Pancakes were amazing. I also loved how they sent the caramel and bananas in a separate carton so the pancakes didn't get soggy. Loved. Will order again
