If you have not tried the Puerto Rico Restaurant yet, then you should. The food was fresh and hot, and it tasted incredible. The portion sizes are generous, and I even saved some for lunch the next day. The Cubano is amazing, this is my favorite lunch and dinner spot.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants ever since finding a year or two ago! The best pernil with a generous portion! I have never had a bad meal, and always ordering more! The parcha is my favorite drink and the flan is delicious!

Overall, a bit disappointed. Had high hopes for this restaurant as I recently moved from NJ and been looking for good food spots that remind me of home. I got the Pernil which was decent but real upset about the portion size and the fact that there was no skin, which is one of my favorite parts and is even listed in the description. The Rellenos de Papa that I paid $4.50 for was way more potato than ground beef. I didn't even get the tostones that were supposed to come with the dish. The flavor is alright but nothing impressive. Then again, this is Iowa and maybe I just have higher expectations, especially for as much as I spent.

It is going to be hard to find the right words to describe my first time ordering from Puerto Rico restaurant, the Pernil was mind blowing. Yes, I am still having a hard time describing how amazing the Pernil is, the portion is huge!Sorullitos de Maiz crispy little bites of perfection. Flan de Vainilla not a custard like I am used to but still really good. Coco Rico all sugar no coconut flavor. Thank you Puerto Rico restaurant for the stunning and tasty food.

Got the Cubano sandwich....very disappointing to say the least. 1 side had large chunks of pork which was rather dry and overwhelmed the flavor of the sandwich. Other side was almost completely flat with virtually no pork on it. Like the person making it was in too big of a hurry and didn't distribute the meat equally. I Recommend the ceviche bar 10 to 1 over this place. Wife didn't even eat half her sandwich.
