• 22/01/23Taishoken is reason enough to move to San Mateo! Truly excellent in every respect: the crafting of the noodles, the rich complex broth, a magically prepared egg. Each ingredient is carefully prepared for a balanced whole that exceeds the sum of its parts. Their dedication to preparing only the finest ramen, hayakko, gyoza is something only the very best aspire to. The team at Taishoken achieves it one dish at a time. Consistently extraordinary.

• 12/04/26I've been watching this guy on YouTube kill 6kg+ ramen challenges and I gave this place a shot. Wow is all I have to say. Karaage(Fried chicken) was out of this world, most places fry it way too much but this place did it perfectly and the ramen was out of this world. Packaging was perfect and all ingredients tasted and looked super fresh. Give them a shot, you'll thank yourself later

• 24/04/23Ajitama Spicy Ramen taste was really good! Edamam was inbetween warm and cold. Not sure if that was due to doordash. I wish the ramen had a bit more to it. I added fried tofu which was probably the most disappointing. It was two shreds of tofu fried. Personally not 2$ worth. There was only their mushrooms and the boiled egg left. I wish they added more textures to this bowl to round it out. All together, not bad for being sick in bed and needing soup

• 18/11/22From the hand-pulled noodles to the silky rich, deeply subtle broth Taishoken makes a magnificent ramen! It is unexcelled in my experience. Each toppings is delicious on its own, but the ensemble is an expert balance of flavors and textures that are divine. Do not miss the Ajitama soft boiled marinated egg! They offer a terrific vegetarian ramen as well. The tuna tartare appetizer is out of this world! For take out, delivery via DoorDash, or ideally to dine in this a a truly great restaurant that pays close attention to every detail and scrumptious nuance of the cuisine.

• 24/06/22I've been wanting to try Taishoken SM since they opened. Finally DoorDashed it tonight. I'm so impressed! The ramen is Delicious and has great flavor! It quickly brought me back to my food memory of visiting Taishoken in Japan! The chicken karaage is perfectly seasoned, crispy, and so yummy! Thank You Taishoken for delivering great quality, delicious food, and the wonderful food memory of my travels to Japan! ; )
