Recently I rediscovered how delicious Del Taco truly is, and I have been ordering from their menu quite frequently of late.
I love burritos and Del Taco has a really delicious burrito offering I love called the Epic Combo Beef & Bean Burrito. It arrives generously packed with a lot of deliciousness which you can further customize by adding or deleting an array of items. Not fond of the Beef & Bean combination? Consider selecting one of the Epic Steak or Epic Chicken Burrito varieties instead.
I found the food I have ordered from Del Taco consistently arrives warm, fresh, and delicious. The taste of their food truly stands head and shoulders above all other restaurants serving similar menu items. Besides the quality of the food being outstanding, their service is everything you would hope it to be as well. Their employees are quick to serve, while paying attention to details—wrapping and packing each order carefully.
Being able to count on a restaurant's consistency in all areas of service is huge in my book, and will keep drawing me back for more time and time again. Del Taco seems to have figured this out while other fast food restaurants are struggling and failing in this area---having overlooked its importance.
Tonight I also ordered a Bean & Cheese Cup. Again you have the option to add or delete toppings and extras for this item. I added extra Pinto Beans, Extra Sauce, and Extra Cheese. The cup was full to the brim, the cheese was deliciously melted, and the sauce blended it all together nicely.
To top off my selections I ordered a Large freshly brewed, creamy Iced Coffee drink. You can select to have it either served over ice or without ice. If I could change two things about this drink, I would wish an Extra Large size was offered, along with the option to order it blended instead of over ice. I find blended drinks to be so much colder and enjoyable than simply over ice—making it especially perfect for the summer months. But truth be known, I always reach for the coldest option year-round. Otherwise, I found the drink to be refreshing—exactly the taste I was hoping for. So much so, that I wish I had ordered two.
If you aren’t fond of Iced Coffee, Del Taco offers a long list of drink options to choose from.
This was a lot of food for me at this late hour, and therefore I reluctantly skipped the dessert menu. Although that was a difficult decision and I very nearly caved. Next time for sure, I will head to the dessert menu first. I hear those Caramel Cheesecake Bites calling to me.
If you haven’t been to Del Taco in a while, I highly recommend reacquainting yourself with their delicious foods. I guarantee you will find yourself returning to the restaurant again and again. 🍽️

I got the queso loaded nachos with extra queso and no sour cream and they arrived exactly as requested! The serving is huge for the pride and I finished up the order with a couple of churros that were so cinnamony that it was falling off like pixie dust. Devoured before I could think to take a pic. Del Taco puts Taco Bell to shame!

It was almost 12:50am. I only ate 1/2 of a small salad all day, and the same the day before. Now I woke up starving. But what to eat? I opened DoorDash, and hit Fast Food. The first option I came upon was Del Taco. I hadn't had Del Taco in a while. It sounded terrific, but they were about to close. I had to be quick.
First I flew over to their Drink options. I was thirsty and wanted something icy cold and tasty. I spotted their Real Strawberry Lemonade. It sounded perfect. I ordered
the largest size on the menu with extra ice and extra strawberry topping. Click- ordered.
Next I checked out their Burrito options. I quickly spotted the Epic Combo Beef and Bean Burrito, which was formerly called the "Mucho Macho Burrito." I always loved the Mucho Macho Burrito. I selected my options. Click---ordered but did I make the cut-off? I didn't have time to ponder this as time was a'wasting. I went straight to Checkout...and click...order placed.
I wasn't sure if I would be receiving my order for dinner, or breakfast in the morning. I checked the app. Hooray, they were making my order.
A few minutes later my order arrived. I tasted the Strawberry Lemonade...yum! Ice cold, high in strawberry flavor, so refreshing, and filled with extra ice-just as I ordered.
Next I opened the Epic Combo Burrito. It was bigger than I remembered and stuffed with deliciousness. I took a bite. It was still warm, fresh, and delicious. I couldn't have asked for more. I had forgotten how good Del Taco was. From now on Del Taco will be on my regular rotation.
I read the bag as I ate. They are still making all of their food in- house, fresh from scratch, just like they used to back in the 60's. And you can taste the difference.
They slow cook their beans daily from scratch. The cheddar cheese is grated from fresh blocks. They use whole fresh avocados and make their own guacamole daily from scratch. They marinate and grill the steak and chicken fresh in their kitchen daily. And finally they prepare their fresh house-made Pico de Gallo daily. You can't ask for more than that.
The next time you're hungry check out Del Taco. You will won't be sorry. I even received a Deal that I didn't know about at checkout through DoorDash. Spend $20.00 or more and receive $4.00 off. Win win!!!

The iced coffee that they have is vastly underrated honestly might be better than Starbucks, the hash brown sticks we're also surprisingly very good
