• 20/12/23Evem though we ordered from about 3 blocks away the food arrived cold. We sat down to eat and realized we would either have to eat it cold or heat it up, which we did, but it spoiled the whole idea of getting delivery, as it involved waiting, putting the food into oven-proof containers, etc., and then dishes to wash. First world problems, I am well aware. But when ordering food with added fees, tips, etc., it would just be nice if we could enjoy it when it arrives.
The poutine gravy was fine but the cheese was likely mozzarella, not the squeaker cheese that is a mainstay of any good poutine. Would not order again. Also, once it was reheated, it was all gluey and stuck together. It actually didn't get eaten as the person for whom it was ordered went off it when she saw the sticky mess it had become.
The pita donair was okay, but just okay. It was closed up like a calzone, and I got the feeling they are pre-made and put into the microwave when ordered. It was a decent size, but for $20 (with chips and a pop) it should be. The chicken was all mixed with the finely chopped toppings (tomato, black olives, onions, pickles (but I didn't taste any) and sauce, so I didn't get much taste or sense of the chicken. It's not like it was donair chicken with toppings, it was all mixed together and had little, if any, individual flavour of chicken. It didn't seem to even have much chicken in it.
The fries are standard, breaded frozen fries. Nothing special. The quantity of food was pretty good but this cost us over $30 and it was the first and last time for us.
I should say I don't know whose fault it was that the food arrived cold. The restaurant may have provided lukewarm food or the courier may have been slow. But it was cold when we got it.

• 17/11/24Got the "large" Large Chicken Donair Pita Wrap on the 2 for 1 special. It was soggy in the lower half. It needed a minute in the microwave despite a quick dasher. I'm a regular customer of this chain. A bit disappointed in the lack of chicken in these 2 Donairs . The only redeeming thing here was the price. I expected more from this location in Kerrisdale. Would not use this location again.
