So glad I can still order my favorite food from Hoovers! I may have to have a standing order at least once a week. The pork chop is huge. Enough for two! And nobody cooks butterbeans like they do. I finished with chocolate pie. Diet, schmiet. Thanks, Mr Alexander, and all your cooks. I love you ALL!

All my veggies were hot and fresh! Tastes homemade! The cowboy beans didn't have a description so I didnt know what to expect but they super good! Glad I tried this place while visiting Austin! Okra was the perfect crisp! The jalapeño spinach has a little kick but is delicious and the black eyed peas are soooo GOOD!!! Soul food ;)

The star of the show for me was the butter beans; but the mashed potatoes and chicken fried chicken was delicious.
The food is rich and flavorful and everything came hot and well packaged.
In total we tried the catfish is flaky and moist, servings were large and sooooo filling.

Don't sleep on the beans! There's a good reason they offer several different bean sides. Favorite sides: butter beans, cowboy beans, tomato + okra. Get you some BBQ chicken, catfish, and for fun get a ton of sides to share! Hoovers kid's meals are portioned to actually fill up a 10 year old.

as always Hoover's Cooking doesn't disappoint, in fact, good old Southern Cooking, done right, renews the soul. Hoover's 4 Housemates hit the spot. I had sweet potatoes, jalapeño spinach, okra with tomatoes, and butter beans.
