It was my first time trying chicken Katsu and it was super delicious. The meat portions was huge! and the curry was thick, creamy, and well-made. I also liked the pickles and the shredded cabbage. I wish I could have gotten more of those as well :(

the portion size of the katsu seemed substantially smaller than previous times we have ordered as well as being more expensive. it was packaged in a way that the portion looked the same size. row of katsu strips being propped up by a single strip underneath run across the others instead of a double layer. it was a very disappointing surprise. I get it, with increasing costs of supplies, rent, etc. changes were going to happen, but increasing prices and basically halving the portion size seems a bit excessive.

takoyaki were too sweet - the teriyaki sauce tasted more like teriyaki syrup. Too little rice with cheese katsu. Too little miso soup (the bowl was already small and it was only half full) + there was only little bit of seaweed so it was more like a drink which is ok with food but if you sell it - it should be cheaper at least; not enough pieces of cheese katsu per portion although they tasted and looked great; a little not enough fish flakes with takoyaki (although maybe i needed more just to cover the sweet taste) sauce for lettuce salad with cheese katsu was really nice, not typical; cute package and good arrangement bento style

I used to order here all the time but, while I still think the katsu is good, they increased their Doordash prices way too much (CAD$3-4 of their currently advertised menu price in the website) and it doesn't even include "unlimited" rice, soup and/or cabbage. I would suggest dining in instead of delivery for a more reasonable price and the classic unlimited sidings.
