The KFC 3-piece buy one get one deal is not bad — it also comes with two sides and drinks, which makes it a pretty good value.
When I received the order, the fried chicken pieces were quite large. However, the seasoning tasted a bit on the salty side, and the texture wasn’t as crispy as I expected. That was my first impression.
Compared to Popeyes or Church’s Chicken, the flavor isn’t as impressive. But overall, it makes up for it with the value and portion size.

I love that they offered 2 sides with this 3 BIG box. It was perfectly portioned. Definitely satisfied my hunger. And it was still hot when it arrived. I appreciated the way they bagged it for delivery, super sealed!

KFC’s fried chicken left me a bit disappointed this time. I originally planned to get the buy-one-get-one 3PC combo, but their spicy burger with fried chicken pieces looked more tempting. After waiting quite a while for delivery, the food finally arrived… but the wedges and nuggets were already a bit cold. The nuggets had a strong original flavor but were on the salty side, and even with the comeback sauce, they still tasted salty. The spicy fried chicken burger was pretty good, though. Overall, KFC just isn’t the same KFC I used to love—the flavors aren’t as good as they used to be.

To be honest, KFC’s fried chicken in the U.S. is pretty average. Compared to places like Popeyes, Church’s, or Bojangles, it really falls short. The flavor and texture just aren’t as good or as tasty. Overall, after trying it, it just feels kind of underwhelming.
