Chef Seng Luangrath, Chef and Co-Owner of Thip Khao and Hanumanh, welcomes you to PADAEK, a family-owned restaurant specializing in traditional Lao and Thai cuisine.
I'm really impressed with Paedaek! As a vegetarian who eats eggs but not anything seafood-related, it's difficult to get egg and no fish sauce in Thai noodles, especially ordering delivery. Also very impressive, extra veggie's wasn't listed as an option so I asked for it in the special request section and crossed my fingers. 15 minutes after placing the order I got a notification saying I was being charged another couple bucks for a special request! Most times I've tried asking for anything in the special request section it's totally ignored (like "vegetarian no fish sauce but egg is OK") so I was really happy to see Padaek actually reads request notes. That said, "medium spicy" ended up less than mild but that's fine, I own my own sriracha. I'll definitely continue ordering here!

Pad Thai was dry and only had 2.3 ounces of meat (not much on value) This place was once so good. The Naem Kho Thadeau is missing the balance of fresh mint, cilantro, Thai basil it once had in the past. I assume
New chef/owner? Worth it? Take out or delivery may simply be the worst way to try this place. Perhaps in person it won't be as disappointing.

I used to get food from Padaek frequently, but haven't gotten food from there recently until today. The food quality seems to have gone down hill. The Naem Khao Thadaeu was so salty that I felt like I was going to get a heart attack. I've also noticed that the portion size has gotten smaller. The Naem Khao Thadaeu is 1/3 of what it used to be and for the Taohu Tod, I had to do a double take because it was so tiny. It was placed inside a tiny container and the size of the tofu was so small that I was very confused about what I just ordered. I don't think I would get food from here again, which is sad because it was one of my favorite restaurants back in the day.

Drunken noodles were very dry and lacking in basil, lacking in flavor. Likeiwse for the greencurry. The restaurants are severely cost cutting on the amount of garnish, bean sprouts, and other toppings which are needed to make the dish tasty. And they charge a whole lot more for substandard food. VERY SAD.

I ordered beef panang curry (Thai spicy), chicken satay, and spring rolls. The chicken satay was in a peanut sauce that was so salty it was inedible. The beef pan and curry was also almost too salty to be edible, the beef tasted like the kind of roast beef you would buy from a deli counter at a bad grocery store, and the sauce was almost flavorless, and the side portion of rice was absolutely pitiful . The spring rolls tasted again like something you would buy out of a grocery stores frozen freezer cabinet, but at least they were edible. Really really terrible, don't see what the hype is about. And at these prices, I was absolutely ripped off. Skip this place, order from literally anywhere else, or go to the grocery freezer section and get the same food for way cheaper
