I was in the mood for a Mexican bowl but didn't want to go the Chipotle route. I searched "Mexican bowl" on Yelp and found Palmita and I am SO happy I did! They pride themselves on offering delicious, nutritious, and minimally-processed food. ALL true! I got a bowl with pulled chicken, tofu, mixed greens, grains, tomatillos, pickled onions, black beans, and avocado. And I added the silky salsa and mole sauces. What an incredible flavor bomb! EVERY item was delicious. The proteins were expertly seasoned, the sauces (clearly homemade) are out of this world, and the portions are quite generous for the price. One can easily get two meals out of a single bowl. Oh, and the cashew pudding is SOOO yummy!

The Chicken Mixto Bowl and Carnitas Mixto Bowl tasted fresh and flavorful even for one of their last orders for the night! Pleasantly surprised at how tasty these were! I wanted a light healthier meal to eat instead of something heavy since it was late night and got exactly what was mentioned not greasy fast food but real food ! Next time I will be sure to include avocado to add another layer of  flavor! I will order this again for my family soon as we try to stick to our Weight watchers goals! It was also affordable and worth eating over burgers, fast food/ carryout any day!

The Chicken Mixto Bowl was really good. I like the salsa and the cilantro sauce a lot. The Dark Chocolate Cashew Pudding is small but delicious and healthy. I will order again for sure. Good prices!

The pulled Chicken Mixto Bowl  is absolutely wonderful. The salad is always fresh and the Millet & Brown Rice is light and cooked perfectly.

I got the (V) Tofu Rice Bowl and it was incredible! So fresh and tasty. Very organic and incredibly nutritious. As a vegan, Ive found it challenging to find places that provide nutritious food in DC but this shall b one of my fav spots from now on. I also want to add that they're open late! I ordered past midnight
