Honestly, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Conroe area. Shogun is the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back again and again.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. The service was absolutely amazing, and you can really tell that the people working here care about their customers.
And the food… seriously, WOW. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The sushi was outstanding, and the hibachi was not only delicious but also incredibly entertaining to watch. The portions were generous, and every bite felt worth it.
What really impressed me was the overall experience. It wasn’t just “good food.” It was the combination of the food, service, atmosphere, and the way the staff treated us that made the whole meal special.
I’ve eaten at a lot of Japanese restaurants, but Shogun genuinely stands out. This is the type of place where you finish your meal and immediately start thinking about what you’re going to order the next time you come back.
If you’re anywhere around Conroe and looking for Japanese food, sushi, or hibachi, I honestly can’t recommend Shogun enough. Bring your family, bring your friends, celebrate a birthday, or just come in for a great meal.

I got the L-4 which included a very basic spicy salmon roll and 3 hand rolls. The description didn't specify which hand rolls so I was scared but it ended up being a salmon handroll, an avocado/imitation crab/cucumber handroll, and a shrimp tempura handroll. Lots of rice.
I don't think I would order this again (as I was hoping there would be a spicy tuna handroll and that there would be crispy flakes on it like other places I've eaten) but it was pretty good. The biggest issue for me is that I was kind of blindly ordering this due to limited, vague description and lack of photos.
Overall:
- price was pretty good
- the wait was a little longer than expected (I did a pickup order)
- quality/taste wise: tasted pretty good and fresh, just didn't love the specific rolls as it was kind of bland
- biggest complaints: menu needs greater transparency on these combo type meals (so we know what we're really ordering)! also I feel like there was a little too much rice ..

The Dinner Hibachi Chicken is my fav go to! The portions are generous and Ialways have leftovers for lunch the next day or will split it with my daughter.
Their ginger dressing is delicious on the salad and is my favorite part of the meal. I wish they bottled and sold it. Yummmm.

I was hungry for tofu, and this was some of the best I've ever had! The ponzu sauce is delicious- and I ordered it with the side of mushrooms. It was a perfect combination! I put mine over fried rice, which was not mushy and very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant:)

Paid 13$ for a side of shrimp and they put 4 of them that's ridiculous why are you charging 13$ for 4 small shrimp
