The food is delicious and perfect for takeout, especially when you want something a little nicer or different than the usual takeout stuff. The oxtail stew specifically is so rich and comforting, I highly recommend. And you can never go wrong with the peri peri chicken, it's very tasty with the perfect amount of spice. This place is in the usual rotation for sure. Just know that it is takeout-only here.

The order was super delayed! Waiting for more than 30 mins and thats the only time they called one of the item is not available! Poor service. The yellow South African Yellow Rice is not worth it! Very small portion for $11. It says in the menu that its $5 only but when you choose the smallest size its gonna be $11. Really not worth it! Just a plain yellowrice! Fried rice from different asian store is more worth it! The Oxtail Stew is also not worth the price! $25 and there is only two meats in the serving! The other meat which I dont kniwbwhat it is coz its a sub for The Picanha Prime. It looks like lamb chops.

Everything we tried was delicious! we had the Dino (Dino) Beef Ribs, Peri Peri Chicken Thighs, South African Yellow Rice and Collard Greens w/smoked turkey. It was all well seasoned and tender. Perfect portion for two hungry adults for a date night in! We will definitely order again.

If you are looking for an explosion of excellent flavor, this is the restaurant for you. We ordered the goat stew which is truly phenomenal, tilapia, perri perri chicken, grilled pineapple, naan, and greens. Every single dish was so delicious. We were SO stuffed but could not stop eating. Ubuntu is a must try. I've already been back for the goat stew because it's that good. Make sure to get a side of fufu!!!

Mandasi was over fried, it was as hard as rock, nothing like what it's supposed to be like. 0/10
chapati or well the Parotta Madurai was far too oily and only comes with 2 peices. They were alright otherwise. 4/10
