Holy delciousness! This place is amazing! The crispy chicken cutlet chicken and rice is oh so good. I love chicken and rice meals and have tried gai, rooster and rice and what the cluck and Dabao's is by far the best. The rice is tastier. The chicken is crispy AF. It also comes with a cup of chicken broth which was a nice added touch. Will be definitely be ordering again

I've only had Nasi Lemak with cuttlefish or squid, as a breakfast dish. But their perfectly crispy, lightly curried chicken fits in just fine. The coconut-cream rice is of course the whole point of the dish, and they get that right. Along with all the traditional sides, even the crunchy dried anchovies (mixed in with the roasted peanuts). Any worries that moving to the Metreon food court would mean making their menu blander and more generic were completely dispelled;
The portion size is more than enough for a filling dinner.
I would definitely order this again—but first I want to try some of the other things on the menu.

The quality went downhill so badly. Laksa was bland and not as flavorful as many years ago. Chicken rice was so bland too. Nasi lemak (substitute rendang) was the worst, the coconut rice has no coconut flavor and was overcooked. I won't recommend this store. This isn't authentic Singaporean food.

The flavor of the Laksa Seafood (S) was great! However...they show 3 shrimp in the photos, which already feels a little low for the price, but they are cut in half length wise (which the photo doesn't show), so you really only get 1.5 shrimp and some fishballs. I'm torn because I loved the flavor but the protein portion feels like a bit of a rip off. A lot of bites were just noodles because the protein is gone in the first few. Maybe I'll order again occasionally, but it would be a regular go to of mine if they actually put a decent seafood portion in there.

Was craving Malay/Singaporean food and excited to try for the first time but sadly will not return. Laksa Seafood (S) was oily and spicy but that's about it. There's not much flavor to it, and mostly bean sprouts. There's only 3 shrimps which are actually cut length wise ie you only get 1.5 shrimps, 3 fish balls and like 2 thin slices of fish cake? Nasi Lemak was ok but not the greatest. Fried Spring Rolls (3) was not fresh, tasted old.
