Sometimes it's a hit-and-miss ordering from this place but today the Kimchi Beef Pepper Rice tastes fantastic and the Miso Soup is nice too:)

So the taste of the Deep Fried Gyoza was good, they steam in the box a bit but the edges are crunchy. The Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice spice rating for someone who likes heat it's a medium level, but if you are sensitive it will be hot. My low rating is because the beef was inedible. It was chewy and stringy and grainy in texture. It was cut against the grain which made it harder to eat and there were like stringy tendons or whatever all throughout it. The portion was big but I gagged on it and spit it out. I wouldn't order beef again. The rice itself tasted good. It has the smoky char taste from how it's cooked. The Deep Fried Gyoza were definitely freshly fried upon order and in good oil not old. The Dr Pepper was good. Larger than I expected.

Ordered Garlic Beef Pepper Rice. Tasted only of salty brown sauce. No pepper flavor and the beef flavor was also covered by brown sauce. There was an even layer of fried garlic bits topping the dish. I tried scooping most of them out and it was still very garlicky.

The rice was not crispy at all, and there was no sear. Sizzling Lunch is best in person if not, you're just overpaying for a microwavable bowl.

two times I ordered extra garlic butter on my plate and they have given me roasted garlic. they need to read the orders before sending out.
