Ordered *Pot Roast Dinner whis was a huge HIT with a family member.
Tuna is consistently FRESH and not the slight bit fishy.
The tuna melt is fantastic.
Did I mention their coleslaw is the best ive had from any area diner?? Order extra for sure.
Never a bad meal.

This diner is a hidden gem!! They have better food than any diner in the area. Everything is fresh and directions are always followed. The soups are homemade and absolutely delicious. Burgers are cooked to perfection. Even the fruit salad option is wonderful! This family LOVES the Alps Diner. Customers for life!!

Ordered from alps diner for the first time since it reopened. Everything was packaged well. Salads were fresh with a variety of items and the dressing selection was more interesting than some.
I ordered a hot open faced roast beef sandwich, which was fair. The roast beef is sort of non- descript and cooked to well done. I'd prefer the option to have it medium rare. It was on white bread which might be some generic white like Wonder. If the beef wasn't so over cooked and there was a change in the rather light colored gravy I'd give it better marks. (I'm assuming this is a canned/jarred gravy).
I also ordered eggplant parm, because I try it everywhere and I've had some surprising good eggplant at some diners. This one is simply Ok. Portion was decent. It's a bit heavy on the breading. There are three medallions on top of pasta. I'm not a fan on the "on top of pasta" serving style because it only dries out the pasta and makes it harder to eat. I think restaurants do it to save on packaging containers. The sauce has a spice I don't care for, but I can't identify it. Maybe it's too much oregano? Not sure. I don't add oregano to my sauce. Work on the sauce and it would be pretty good.
I'd try them for breakfast but not sure about a dinner again.

This Diner is absolutely amazing. Portions are great, prices are very reasonable. Red velvet cake is to die for.
