That was an outstanding burger! Go ahead and get the baby burger because it's the same size as a regular burger as it used to be everywhere else! Thick, meaty, juicy and amazing!! Old days 101! And the fries?? OMFG!!! Sooooo gooooodd!!! And the "small" fries?? The bag was bigger than a McDonald's LARGE!! If you're looking for an old fashioned taste AND SIZES from an old "hamburger joint", this place is IT!!

Ok... so, normally I would give Al's a 7 stars out of 5...
does anyone else feel this way? The French fries underwent a complete flavor, texture and appearance overhaul I want to say about a year ago... they went from "just ok; crinkle cut, cooked well yet nothing remarkable" to "holy guacamole! The best, most flavorful and fantastic fries I've ever had!" They were then straight cut, seasoned, extra breaded (?) and cooked perfectly. They were even good reheated, and even cold! Paired with Al's home made ranch & it's a match made in heaven! I literally became obsessed with them, and therefore started going to Al's much more frequently.
Then, one day, suddenly and without warning, they were back to the old fries - you know, crinkle cut, cooked well yet nothing remarkable. ?? The ranch is still hands down the best homemade ranch I've ever had. But the fries? Really disappointed and now i frequent less.
So, my question for the restaurant, if they would be so kind as to oblige?
What happened with the fries??
Would you bring back the better ones? Honestly I wouldn't mind paying more for those- they are worth it! And? The result would mean I would yet again frequent more. One other suggestion: Fridays and Saturdays, what about staying open one + hours later? I know many people who would go there were they only open a bit later. That's my two cents! Otherwise, keep it up, I love supporting my local community!!!

Al's never seems to disappoint. love the char on their burgers and you can taste the quality of the beef it always hits the spot and in my humble opinion the perfect burger. 2/3 Lb Double Burger With Cheese is what I ordered and it was a spot on example of the classic cheeseburger the shakers are great too!!

Burger was the opposite of big. Tiny little dry burger with no taste and too many onions. That was the only flavor you could taste was raw onion. The fries were good but that was it. First and last time eating here.

You better think twice before you order a 2/3 Lb Double Burger With Cheese cause this thing is BIG. It is delicious and patties have a good flavor. Bun is high quality.
