SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS) really impressed with its down-to-earth flavor profile. The gravy and rice combination as the entree was superbly balanced and supremely seasoned, was the best choice experiencing apart from what was expected. Didn't felt like Country Fried Steak, throughly tender and generally uplifting in freshness and exalted taste.
The Yams) Very authentic. Diced, cooked and splendidly delicious w/o much sweetness in the syrup or topped off with marshmallow or as a purée; able to essentially enjoy the blend without having extra richness, falls apart w/o trouble.
Mac & Cheese) I tried a lot from different restaurants, this one has its edges and flavors but still artistic in retrospect.
Meatloaf) Softly Garnished and throughly chewy though moist yet delicate and refreshing than refined and vibrant.
Overall) I absolutely liked ordering here for the 1st time and might try adding this as a favorite.

Pick 2 w/ 2 Sides Turkey wings with rice and meatloaf were DELICIOUS. Yams were divine! Mac & Cheese and collars were not my favorite. I'm not big on vinegar but that and a bit of salt may have helped the collars. Good amount of food for the cost.
HATED the Salmon Bites w/ Sweet Chili Sauce...dry and lacked flavor but the sauce was good.

My new favorite restaurant. Been looking for a great tasting & convenient soulfood place and this is the one. I have had their oxtails , the hamburger and gravy , and fried pork chops. With sides of mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese and cabbage. All meals were delicious. They also give a good portion of food for the price. Definitely ordering again.

The food is good, but you’d think a smothered turkey wing would come with more gravy. I was left with plain white rice because there wasn’t nearly enough.
The ordering options are also misleading. It says “turkey wings” (plural), but I only received one turkey wing.
This was my second time ordering, and it’ll probably be my last. I believe in giving a restaurant a second chance, but the price doesn’t match the value, especially with so many other soul food spots around.

BAG LEAKED ALL OVER MY KITCHEN AS WELL AS MYSELF! PORK CHOP WAS CRAMMED INTO A CAKE CLAM SHELL. SIDES PORTIONS WERE MEAGER AT BEST. BREADING ON CHICKEN & PORK CHOP WAS A BIT DIFFERENT, BUT TASTY. ONLY THING MISSING WAS A ROLL OR CORNBREAD!
