• 14/07/26This was good but different from the last time I ordered which means things are not consistent, although it was good flavor the bread was toasted a bit too much, unsure if that was because it was getting stale, but last time the bread was soft not toasted (which is traditional and preferred)...also there was very little vegetables, cilantro and mayo so it was slightly dry. Pork was flavorful and portioned well, just dry.

• 19/10/24Sadly this was not good. I was hoping since this is the newer location, this would taste better here. No doubt they cooked it correctly to their protocol, so I don’t fault the cook or staff at all.
It’s just their recipe and the type of chicken is completely wrong for A3. Taiwan Popcorn Chicken . Completely wrong. I’ve lived in Houston, Cerritos and San Francisco,(all have big Taiwanese population) and also spent many months in Taiwan, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken is the same almost everywhere you go- except here.
Chicken should be smaller, crispy on the outside with a nice crunch, juicy and full of flavor on the Inside. The batter should have Chinese 5 spice seasoning, and it should be made with a different starch , such as potato starch, to achieve that perfect bite.(There’s also usually an option to add a little mini chili flakes to add some heat). Not only is this A3. Taiwan Popcorn Chicken not even close to real /mimic Taiwanese popcorn chicken, it’s unappealing and unappetizing even as fried chicken bites. It is so incredibly dry and chewy, that I’m not sure you’d even want to feed it to your dog.
I'm guessing they use frozen chicken that was freezer burned too long , and really affected the quality. This is just one item that I really should not have tried ordering again, but alas I was hopeful that the recipe would have been better at the new location. They should get rid of this item, as it is really inedible (sauces and veggies were good/fine though), or actually learn what Taiwanese popcorn chicken is, and fix their recipe. We can’t eat it, it is really annoying as it was $17 to get it delivered, and that’s down the drain.
Stick with the other food items, everything else has been great so far except this item. The staff here too is awesome, kind and considerate, and this dish is in no way a reflection of their 5 star service.
