The Brussel Sprout with hot honey and bacon were excellent and were 5-stars just by themselves!

Very good beef flavor in the beef, quality bacon, and the blue cheese was very smooth. The garlic aioli is well made and delicious. I don’t leave reviews often, but I should. We should support good businesses in Ankeny, so we don't end up with just chain restaurants. The price is reasonable, and I was not expecting the quality of the burger or the fries. The owner is obviously going all out on quality. I almost didn't order, because it was 15 minutes to close and that usually means the food may be rushed or cold. Plus it is kinda rude. Thank you to the owner and staff! God bless!

I got the bleu tee burger but it wasn't really all that good. Bleu cheese and some garlic aioli on a dry, small burger. Brussels sprouts were good. Buffalo wings were not crispy and they forgot the bleu cheese dip. I do have high standards for wings though.

Birdies is the most consistent resturaunt in Ankeny. I am convinced of it and they are good at what they do. All of their food is delicious. The burgers are juicy, full of flavor and never disappoint. The Brussel sprouts are my favorite. Tried the Philly Fries tonight and they were top notch like every other item Birdies makes. I can't recommend this place more, please try it and support our local business!

FINALLY a good burger in Ankeny. It's been a struggle to get a good burger anywhere in town. Great flavor and fries were nice and crispy. Bravo!
