About Blue Food
Blue Bonnet opened in the 1930s and was one of the first restaurants in Denver to obtain a liquor license after Prohibition. When the restaurant first opened, the Broadway tram end…
The Chimi Changa - (not deep fried) is the one desire that has now become an obsession. Blue Bonnet knows howto hit all my good senses when it conesto my specific needs. They are and always will be my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Coupled with the Salsa and Chips made in house? It's an amazing taste experience and one worthy of doing!! They are unmatched in the Denver area.

Excellent food and their to go packaging is so nice. A lot of restaurants' takeout boxes end up with your food not arriving in great shape but not so with Blue Bonnet. Portions were extremely generous, and love the option to create your own 3 Combo plate. Don't skip the chips and Salsa - Takeout.

Always super meat and flavor!
Also love the amount of guacamole and sour cream they provide.

Blue Bonnet was a case of one thing right and two things wrong.
I requested no cilantro and the staff put the green chili or salsa on the side with a note saying it contained cilantro. I thought that was a nice touch.
But I didn't get my side orders of pickled jalapeños or guacamole
The Three Amigos enchiladas were tasty but variable in temperature.
I liked that the whipped cream for the Sopapillas but the sopapillas were drenched in sugar and honey or syrup and were way too sweet.
