I am Greek and cook mostly Greek dishes. The food at Emis is some of the most authentic tasting Greek food in this area. In fact, the chicken souvlaki is the best I've had in this country, and I have been to many states coast to coast. Bravo!

Whenever I get food from here, everyone at work says it smells so good and they ask where I got it from! Their gyros are to die for!! Cannot go wrong with the Mediterranean bowl either. Food is always fresh and the portions I great! Cafe Emis, you have a lot of fans at Star Roses & Plants!

Wow. Fresh & flavorful. The mediterranean bowl and souvlaki platter were perfectly seasoned and hearty portions. The leek pie and cheese pie were savory & crunchy. And the pumpkin spiced latte, oh so good! Looking forward to ordering again soon.

Last week I wrote that the moussaka was not as great as what I have come to expect from Cafe Emis.   Of course, I still placed another order because this place has the best Greek food. To my delighted surprise, Emis added a complimentary moussaka with a note saying they adjusted the recipe. It is delicious!!! The spice in the sauce is perfect and the bechamel   cream was light and fluffy. It is so impressive that Cafe Emis reads and takes seriously their customer  reviews. Bravo for making such good authentic Greek food.

I love this store and order often but I was disappointed with  the mousaka. It was a little bland (there wasn't any cinnamon or allpice)   and the meat was overcooked. My piece also had more potato than eggplant, a big no no. I'll stick with  the chicken souvlaki which is excellent.
