Chicken on the Way is a family business that's being around since 1958. That's a long time. They've got a lot of great food, and it arrives fast. I've never had chicken that tasted this good. it reminds me of what KFC used to be like when I was a little kid. full pieces, juicy, amazing fries, tasty gravy. make sure to pick up some honey to dip your corn fritters in. AND pick up extra corn fritters there's never enough. all the chicken from these guys is local, they run their own chicken farms, and believe it or not serve many other companies. this is a real shop local place. and a piece of Calgary history. and remember, really really really really good fried chicken. it's been my go-to since I was a kid. it's a go-to now that I have kids.

Chicken wasn't very fresh tasting... the skin was super dry. The wings were absolutely gross, overcooked or??? I don't know REALLY not edible... fritters were great. Coleslaw and gravy were good, but also it says "large". 12 pieces of chicken, let's just assume there's 4-6 people eating it... so I tiny little cup just isn't going to do it. Will not be ordering again.

The chicken pieces were too small and soggy.
Fried fish fillets were also skinny, oily and generally unremarkable in taste.
French fries were small bits and burnt mostly.
Usually when ordered in psst got great food from them but this time quite disappointed.

Love the corn fritters! The corn fritters to chicken on the way is like the biscuits to Popeyes. Sooooo good! Chicken was great and crispy and fries were fresh and fantastic! 10/10 would order again

The Bonus Order is similar to what I remember it being years ago. The chicken is amazing, and the cornbread is awesome! My only note is that I remember the amount of fries and gravy you used to get was more, and that there were options to upsize the fries/side to a larger size if you wanted. It's not an option on Doordash, at least, but nonetheless, it's as good as ever!
