peak. the flavor from the egg and the pork seems to infuse into the congee itself, resulting in a dish that completely surpasses its direct competition in taste. certainly a tad overpriced though, like all delivery food. would appreciate a bigger portion size.

Decided to try this place since I saw good reviews and I was craving some good congee. I ordered the G8 B.B.Q. Pork with Honey (Regular) , B12. Shredded Pork with Preserved Egg & Salted Egg Congee and K53. Fried Chilli Turnip Patties, and while I was quite satisfied with the former 2, the latter was disappointing.
I love good Chinese BBQ and the pork definitely scratched that itch with a good balance of fat and lean meat as well as the very nice crispy charred bits that a good BBQ should have.
Congee was also fantastic with plenty of egg and pork such that every bite had a good bit of both despite it being quite sizable. It was slightly on the saltier side, but not overly so and balanced by the umami.
I ordered the turnip patties due to the rave reviews I saw online, but having tried it, it was pretty mid. Maybe it was due to the transit, but what I got was soggy and flaccid. The taste is ok, but the texture ruined it. Would order again, but for the congee, not the turnips.

The servings are colossal and delicious. On the pricey side, but on balance worth it. Great Hong Kong style food and the K9. Szechuan Style Prawn 四川炒蝦球 was especially delicious!

I've never been disappointed with Congee Queen before but they took over an hour to prepare the food. The first dasher left because they were waiting so long. At least the Steeles Ave congee Queen is known for their bbq meats but this location is not good. Our order of crispy pork and duck was really sad. They threw in like 6 pieces of duck and they were mostly bone and skin. The fried turnip cakes are supposed to be the star but they were really small (half cubes??). Portion size was ok. And the Cantonese chicken chow mein was really mediocre. I'm definitely reconsidering ordering from here again.
