The Giant Baker with Meat was smokey and flavorful. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious! The 2 Meat Plate had great portions and the Mac and cheese sausage was killer. Definitely will be ordering again!

First time I ordered the brisket it was excellent. This time, not so much. There is a lot more inedible due to fat and gristle. Mac n cheese is a bit unremarkable. The hand cut fries are fresh and amazing, best in Clarksville. I probably will not order the brisket or mac n cheese again. I will definitely order the hand cut fries.

I eat Dickey's periodically, as barbecue options in my area are limited. Generally speaking, it's pretty decent (but I must add to this) for a chain restaurant headquartered in another state. Make no mistake: your favorite local shop with a pit out back is going to be better. But Dickey's is pretty decent.
I think the brisket and pork are both a little dry. I think the smoke flavor is muted. I think the pork lacks sufficient bark (kudos for their not leaving hunks of fat in there), and I think the sides are what you'd expect for a chain restaurant that throws frozen okra in a deep fryer, or scoops its very basic pre-made mac and cheese out of a container, same as the potato salad. But it's all serviceable. Nothing you'd brag about making, but it's decently generically ok enough not to offend the unimaginative masses at a church picnic who prefer American cheese, white bread and expect you to go easy on the spices.
Two things really shine, though. The jalapeno cheddar sausage is delicious and the sauces are terrific. My favorite is the spicy barbecue sauce followed by the Texas Hot Sauce. I don't want to eat at Dickey's often, but as fast food barbecue goes, it is capable of hitting the spot. Portions are solid as well.

I ordered the Giant Pit-Smoked Baker w/ Meat Combo with pulled pork, and my husband got the same with chopped brisket. Food was amazing and although the Dasher forgot the drinks Dug offered to bring them. This is the second time I've ordered from Dickeys and neither time was I disappointed. Highly recommended if you're looking for amazing pulled pork, brisket & a super friendly atmosphere!
