I'm so happy to have tried this for the first time. I had a long day at work and was craving comfort food. I ordered the 蝦仁蛋炒飯 Shrimp Fried Rice and 四季豆 Stir-Fried String Beans which was ready for pickup within 10 minutes! The food was packaged well and I received a generously large free soup! The fried rice was genuinely the best I've had in a long time—probably the best ever. It was super flavorful and not too salty or oily like many other places. The green beans were perfect with a complex taste to it and a crisp bite without being too crunchy or too salty. I also appreciate that it wasn't soggy or submerged in sauce. I've eaten a LOT of green beans from many different places. I'm almost convinced it's better than Din Tai Fung's garlic green beans but will just say they're two different styles so they don't really compare. I don't eat soup often, but I really enjoyed the broth which had a subtly sweet and "funky" mild heat to it. There was thinly sliced carrot, kelp, tofu, and bamboo shoots (if I know my vegetables). Super yummy meal! I will definitely be ordering again.

What awesome food. Ive been struggling to find a good takeout spot and seen them a few times. I am SO glad I pulled the trigger and ordered. Carefully packaged, smells amazing, tastes better than amazing, great price point, and a great menu! The 鹽酥雞 Five Spiced Fried Chicken with Basil was amazing, but because they kept the sides open so it vented versus getting soggy. Amazing. 10/10.

I've eaten at this place since they had retired i downtown Bellevue. I ordered Togo for an item I haven't had in a while. The 客家炒河粉 Hakka Style Chow Fun. No FLAVOR! Not even a taste of salt. Just bland. It was also a lot of noodles. I remember it being such a small portion of noodles and full of flavors that I wanted another order. Don't get this dish or you'll be disappointed.

Portion size is really small, especially the Spiced Pork Stew Over Rice (Large) with no more than 20 very small diced pork (yes I counted). Flavor is just so so, with Twice-cooked Beef Shank very dry and Sautéed Sliced Lamb very wet. I don't think I will come again.

Facing East never disappoints. Everything was extra tasty, but the standout was the 炒豆苗 Stir-Fried Pea Sprouts w/ Garlic - fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Packed with that homestyle Taiwanese comfort, it hit the spot. Will definitely order again.
