I will grab 2 kids meals and a side for me and my husband to split for fleas than $30 with tip.

• 23/10/24The filet mignon was so over cooked. I ordered medium rare and it was well well done and super dry. I did not even eat it. Bread pudding was delish, chicken slider was good.. nothing special but not bad at all. Chips and guac is less than a handful of chips. I wont go back because it was NOT worth the price but not a bad meal per se

• 10/09/24Redskin Mashed Potatoes are so creamy and you get a good amount. The Filet Slider with the horseradish sauce surprised me, it was so good (and gone in seconds but, yanno). I love crème brule and highly recommend their Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee (I can imagine it's hard to get the dessert out of the dish it's cooked in so no points docked for presentation in takeout container lol). Only wish they gave me some silverware/napkins as im traveling but no big deal

• 24/06/22We have ordered the shrimp platter for 5 (25 shrimp) several times. Each previous order was excellent. Shrimp perfectly fresh. Not enough for 5 people obviously, but more than enough for three with a couple of sides and wedge salad. Everyone knows how wonderfully hot St. Elmo's shrimp sauce is, ok? Love it. Always remember the first time you had shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo's and you scooped up WAY too much on your shrimp, despite the warnings from fellow diners? It will seriously take your breath away. So, each previous time we ordered the 25 shrimp same price as @6 shrimp cocktails SO NOT CHEAPER by the two dozen, the shrimp came in one container. The shrimp sauce in one soup bowl size container lemons in a separate container and saltiness. Heaven. But last order yesterday evening disaster. The entire 25 shrimp were covered almost an inch deep in the horseradish sauce!!!!! All of them. I couldn't see the shrimp at first. Plus, they still gave us a separate container of sauce? My husband couldn't eat any of it. Even I who can almost eat the sauce by the spoonful was upset because you couldn't taste the SHRIMP! I called the restaurant and after almost 20 minutes a rather snarky manager informed me contrary to my previous experiences that that is the way "it always comes out of the kitchen...." Yes. If you are eating one shrimp cocktail at the restaurant. But even then it's not drenching the shrimp like a marinade! But not if you pay $$$$ for 25 shrimp. The famous sauces is to compliment NOT RUIN the shrimp. She told me to contact DoorDash. Ok...... we all know for that expensive an order you do not get the entire amount or even close credited. And you are waiting on the "chat help line" for another 30 minutes to an hour. I patiently explained this to her. Well that was NOT her experience. Geez ok... I am now mentally composing a letter to the owners of H & I and St. Elmo's adding up the hundreds and thousands of dollars spent there in a lifetime of living in Indianapolis and taking out of town friends, business dinners, etc., recommending it over every other Steak House. Finally, grudgingly, she said IF we came and picked it up she would give us a free order. This is now two hours at least after we received the order. I explained no, I could not. Did she offer a possible credit, coupon or discount for the next time (if ever) we come to the restaurant? No. Just come get it or call DoorDash. I asked her to please verify that I had contacted Harry and Izzy's (manager) since it was all together a $200 order??? She said ok. Wow. Customer service par excellence? So called chat lined DoorDash we all know how that goes. Two separate chat agents later I got a $25 credit. For $118 of inedible shrimp. By now my husband was asleep. I tried the chat line again, explained they said ok we'll give you another $25. Did they no. But we all know DoorDash is well DoorDash. They are not invested in the local community the restaurant employees don't like them. But to all restaurant OWNERS and MANAGERS of expensive local beloved restaurant s I St Elmo's and H and I, please tell your managers the "DoorDash" customers they are being dismissive to, used to dine there in person before the pandemic. Their take out orders and deliveries kept you afloat. I tried to rinse the shrimp. Let it sit briefly in lightly lemoned water. Still not edible. I am still upset. But hey I have a $25 coupon on DoorDash!

• 16/06/22The emerald kale salad w/ salmon added tasted delicious and peanut dressing selection paired well. I was grateful that my specifics regarding certain items on the side or omitted were all addressed. Items were packaged perfectly with no leaking or spills, which was a bonus! The added salmon was a good-sized portion providing 2 meals. The kale was fresh yet would have loved a little more of the additional items: sunflower seeds, red cabbage, etc.
