The most authentic taqueria I've tasted in Boston. I'm from San Diego, so I was just as surprised as you will be that there's an authentic Sonoran taquería in Back Bay. "La Neta" means "The truth," or "the real deal" and this shop earned that title. The TORERITA DE RIB EYE and COSTRA DE RIB EYE were delicious. Clearly well-marbled, thin-sliced ribeye on a flavorful, thin corn tortilla, the Costra includes melted crispy cheese. The salsas are all unique, sharp, and flavorful. The horchata is creamy and thick. The limonada is tart and not too sweet. The portions are nice, the food is extremely flavorful, and I will be ordering from here as often as I can afford to because I've missed real Mexican food more than anything in California. Y este taquería es la neta. De verdad.

La Neta is one of my favorite Mexican spots in the city, so I was pretty disappointed this time. The veggie enchiladas had large pieces of undercooked veggies and were completely soggy in the sauce. They also didn’t come with sour cream like they usually do. The birria plate was also mid, and the portions of rice, guac, and beans felt off. Hoping this was just an off day because I usually love this place.

I usually love these two tacos, but I literally couldn't eat them today and I'm so disappointed. The steak was incredibly fatty, chewy, overcooked most importantly, had a taste that I had gone bad or rotten. Don't know what happened here.

They use lamb which is way better than other places that use beef. Tasty and not too salty. It doenst come with the side dip though but ask for it

PESCADO TACO (FISH) says "served with lettuce, pico, and chipotle cream sauce." arrved with no pico, no sauce. just lukewarm dry fried fish and dry lettuce. so frustrating. BIRRIA TACO (LAMB STEW)as good, CHIPS & GUAC (SMALL) good.
