• DoorDash reviewEverything was delicious as always! The sopapillas were warm, fluffy, and sweet. The street tacos were flavorful and full! They listened to my instructions and provided limes, which was a nice touch. The guacamole was fresh and really bright. We are always happy with the generous portions and drink sizes. There's never an issue. Always fresh, yummy, and packaged very neatly! We love Monarca!

• DoorDash orderEverything was absolutely delicious! The Enchiladas Monarca are very filling, a huge portion, and very yummy. You can't go wrong with the Chamaco Quesadilla off of the kid's menu, kids love it! The Chalupa was a little disappointing just because whatever chip cup they used for the bottom, it was very soggy and almost stale? inedible base, but the top was good like a small taco salad. The Sopapillas (4) are bomb, and they send you warmed honey and it's so good! The Chile Con Queso is delicious as always, and the Chunky Guacamole is so flavorful and fresh. Downside is they sent 1 mini bag of chips with all that dip I bought, not nearly enough chips with a huge order of dips. Otherwise, everything was packaged well and came fresh and hot.

While the presentation of the dishes was appealing, their flavors didn't quite match up. The flan was bland, and the quesadillas, despite looking perfect, were lacking in taste. The fajitas were just alright, offering a few slices of meat but nothing memorable. However, the queso stood out—it was creamy, smooth, and avoided the grainy, watered-down texture often found elsewhere. If I were to order again, it would likely be just for the chips & queso, perhaps on a night when I’m drunk and craving a snack.
I also believe that the extensive menu might be impacting the freshness of the dishes. A more focused selection could potentially enhance the overall quality and freshness. Additionally, the establishment could benefit from adopting some best practices as showcased in episodes of "Kitchen Nightmares," where emphasis on quality, menu curation, and customer satisfaction are key.
