• 24/05/251st time ordering from here, been teetering regarding & finally decided to give it a go
Jaeyook in a Cup - was just ok, give it a 3/5. let me say I was impressed by the cup size, was more than what I thought especially nower days. it's the size of a large coffee cup but wider.. 1/2 - 1x wider than a large cup. 1/3 - 1/2 is rice, the rest is the meal & egg. probably about 1-2 inch space of nothing before the lid. the jaeyook itself was mild & could really use more gochujang & gochugaru. you don't really taste any of that classic Korean marinade/seasoning. just nicely cooked pork & maybe smoky onions but not quite. was hoping for sticker rice.
the sides that come with it, wasn't a fan. I don't know what to call it flavor wise but it's like it didn't ferment enough & wasn't enough marinade either. both dishes are like watered down Korean food.
Original Kimbap - nice subtle flavor, fresh, quick fix& would get again. favorite between the two. I would say it can be wrapped a bit more tight.
