The aromatics were a little overdone, but I can excuse that. The Wok Hei alone is evidence that this establishment employs highly skilled chefs. I've loved Sy Thai for yearsss. The food is and always has been absolutely delicious. It's one of my go to places to order from.
That said, I'm done going through doordash bc over the past couple of years the restaurant has consistently screwed up orders (ie chicken when I order veggie etc), failed to include items, etc.. I'd say 50% of my orders have been wrong in some way - it's disappointing esp when you pay $16 for a dish that is incorrect and only get like $4.58 back (which I understand is a doordash issue, not a sy thai issue; still frustrating).
Like I said - the food is good. So good! I don't want to stop ordering from Sy Thai, but going forward it will only be if I or someone else can pick it up to make sure everything is included and correct. "

I had been craving Roti so I was happy to find a nice starter of Roti Canai. Then I tried Nasi Lemak for the first time and I'm totally in love with it. It's spicy, but the perfect level that contributes to the overall flavor, not just there for the sake of being hot. It left that amazing numbing burn.

The egg roll inside of the styrofoam container, which came with the combo meal ....ended up being soggy, not crispy, because it was not packaged by itself, rather, it was included in the same styrofoam container as the meal itself.
- Egg rolls should always be packaged separately so they stay crispy. This egg roll did not have a lot of flavor going on with it. Needs improvement.
Overall the No. 18. Orange Chicken was tender and tasty. Just wasn't orange flavored; was honey flavored instead. No utensils included. The order should be secured better so no one can tamper with the food. It came in a plastic bag just tied off ....but not stapled."

"My eel roll is delcious ~ eel is soft and avocado is perfectly ripe. The cooked combo is major yum - the chicken one is Soo good, has no business being that good. Prices are fair for once - miso soup is delicious hot and filled to the top.

"I use to eat here all the time before the fire so I decided to try them now that they are back open. I ordered the lunch plate, so I was very surprised by how much food I got. Everything was fresh. The rice and L13 Sweet & Sour Chicken were great but the egg roll was so greasy I couldn't eat it. There was so much oil in the bottom of the packaging I had to grab napkins to soak it up and wrap the egg roll. I may order again, hopefully I don't have this same experience."

"11. Almond Chicken and the 25. General Tso'S Chicken were great dishes! Piled high with chicken and rice. I liked the fried rice a lot. The Dinner Roll (2) was excellent with a little bit of butter. Eat them same day! It's hard to find a sweet large dinner roll like this! Some of the sauces leaked out of the packaging.
I was pretty sure the fried roll with the meal was pork only (I purposely clicked the description or I would have opted out) but turns out it had shrimp in it! Thankfully I don't have an allergy but I recommend cutting into your roll first and confirming there isn't any shrimp if you have a seafood allergy.
Despite all this- I will order the items again from this restaurant!"
"Great quantity. Combo plates were stuffed to the brim and they left the containers opened slighty so the chicken stayed crispy which was appreciated! Veggie Lomein had tons of veggies but was on the blander side. Soup was as expected and filled with wontons. Would order from them again!"
