A tomato based stew with amazing aromatic flavors like ginger, onions, garlic. Everything merged well together, nothing tasted like it stood out (you won't notice if you say "i dont like onion") So so so so flavorful and the chicken falls off the bone. Tasted so homemade, and reminded me of my mom's Sudanese cooking. One of the best meals I have had in the city, paired well with the aromatic perfectly cooked rice with lots of cardamon flavor. The Fassolia is also so delicious - love the smooth texture. Loved it. Hearty and healthy, lightly salted. It can be ordered alone, but I wanted to pair it. The meal came with a lemony, pepper sauce and was so well balanced. I'm used to a hummus bowl being a heaping serving of hummus with meat/mushrooms/chickpeas etc for flavor on top (eaten with pita since the hummus is the main event). Instead this felt like the amount of meat I'd expect as topping but with almost no hummus. The coat of hummus under the chicken was so thin that the liquid from the other toppings completely dissolved it (like it seemed like the amount of hummus you might get on top of a pita sandwich spread around in a thin layer). I intended to flesh out the meal with a small order of Israeli salad for $5 but instead it was just a few spoonfuls on top of the bowl. Also I assumed a hummus bowl would come with pita (as is typical) but it didn't. I felt like I ended up with the equivalent of the fillings from pita sandwich but for more money & no bread. Still super hungry :-( "
