"The donuts were OK, they just weren't as fresh as I usually get. I believe they were prepackaged so it was more like buying them from the grocery store than getting them from Krispy Kreme itself. As much as I love Krispy Kreme, I'll have to think twice before ordering again. "

"we already ate some of it as u can see. but the cheesecake was amazing i'd rate that 5 stars. ordering it on here, it came in the to-go box with a cup of the strawberry sauce with 3 sliced strawberries in it. so u can choose if u wanna put the strawberry on or not. it's great without the strawberries but i like it more with. the pretzels are very big and come w cheese. my friend rlly liked them. i haven't tried em yet tho. the pickles are pretty good i feel like they might be a little too salty. the breading is alright but i think i like them more without it."
"I used to love the old pretzel rods but the Bavarian Pretzel Bites just aren't the same. They're not worth the amount you pay for them anymore. The amount of pretzels has gone done each time I've ordered them and this time 9 pretzel bites arrived, overcooked. :("

"You can tell the difference between freshly prepared chicken and reheated chicken. When it's fresh, it has a nice light brown coating and fresh taste and reheated is dark brown not fresh. I was pleased to get 5 out 6 freshly prepared legs and one reheated one. My suggestion is to never serve reheated chicken. "Great special treat! Had 3 flavors (chocolate chip, red velvet cake, banana) & pint of ice cream. Highly recommend"
"I wouldn’t recommend these cookies if you’re not a fan of doughy-textured cookies. They’re extremely thick, which made them unappetizing to me, and they didn’t really look like they were advertised. I purchased the Cereal Killer, Banana Pudding, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Dubai Chocolate cookies. I had high expectations for the Dubai Chocolate cookie, but it was disappointing. The cookie itself was much darker than I expected for a chocolate cookie, and the filling didn’t have the rich, creamy consistency I associate with Dubai chocolate. Instead, it was dry and overly crunchy. Overall, the cookies just didn’t live up to the hype or match the photos."

"The SWEETPOTATO BRAVAS is DELICIOUS and my husband really enjoyed the Red Eye Pulled Pork Hash. Both have a little spice to them, just enough to add a kick. He ordered the classic BREAKFAST SANDWICH but it just came with meat and cheese. The only way to get egg was to add for additional $ although it says egg in the description. This is why I didn't give 5 stars. "
"I have ordered the shrimp and grits on several ocasions. One reason was the large portion given. Today's order looked like almost half the size. Previous orders had enough where I could split with another person. Not today's order. Also you could hardly find the grits. The taste was not the same. In the past order the flavors would be so intense I wanted more but was full. While paying $16 in the past I thought it was a high price but the value was there so I didn't mind but now paying over $22 and be dissatisfied is money wasted. Sorry but won't be ordering anymore. I'll take my business to Cspe Fear."

"I may be considered a bagel snob due to my experience working in a bagel shop , but the amount of seasoning on the everything bagel was amazing! There are some places in town that do a tiny sprinkle of the everything mix, but Coastal does not disappoint. My Egg Meat Cheese Bagel (Bacon, Egg, Cheddar and Jalapeño Cream cheese) was madewith love for sure, definitely made my rainy morning worth it. Not to mention the pricing is the most reasonable if not on the cheaper side for the utter amount of food you get. 10/10"
"I order from here all the time and NOT once have I had a bad bagel or experience with coastal bagels. The bagels always fill me up for the day which is a big plus and I swear they make their bagels fresh every morning because they are always soft and never hard."

"My daughter refuses any other donut hole that doesn't measure the same quality of their Munhies (Donut Holes). They are cakey, crisp, perfectly glazed. We always get two dozen, but if it were up to her she'd buy out their whole stock. Let's move onto the item that has maintained the highlight of my days. The Bomb. Holy- this is literally the bomb. The portion of each ingredient is phenomenal. The flavors all shine, nothing overpowering another. The bagels are fresh, great coverage, great size. "We think this is the best bagel place in the mayfaire area but we're constantly disappointed with the wrong items being delivered (ie: no peanut butter on PB&J, wrong bagel selection, wrong juice selection). Every single time. We keep going back because we like the bagels just wish they would be more consistent and accurate with their orders."
"Refund please!
1) I ordered specific donuts (that's why I chose "choose your own"!) and half of them were wrong
2) I ordered an everything bagel but received plain
3) the oil the egg was cooked in tastes old and not edible
4) order screen made it look like pickles would be IN the sandwich (like the spinach), not separate
5) WRONG donuts and bagel, but quality and portion of donuts and bagel is good, if only they were correct!"

"The barria was great even though they sent a taco and not the quesadilla that I ordered. The chicken taco was awful, dry and didn't come with any ingredients advertised. "Review of Playa Bowls - Wilmington, NC (Pura Vida Acai Bowl)
If you’re craving a refreshing and healthy treat in Wilmington, NC, Playa Bowls is the place to be. I recently visited and tried the Pura Vida Acai Bowl, which was every bit as delightful as I hoped. Playa Bowls has created a great atmosphere that blends beachy vibes with vibrant decor—perfect for catching up with friends or simply enjoying a solo escape into deliciousness.
Flavor & Texture
The Pura Vida Acai Bowl is loaded with fresh ingredients that feel carefully chosen and well-balanced. The base is a smooth and creamy acai blend, chilled to perfection, with a consistency that’s thick enough to hold up the toppings without feeling too heavy. Every bite is packed with flavor—sweet from the acai and bananas, with a touch of tartness from the strawberries and blueberries. The granola adds a satisfying crunch, which contrasts nicely with the creaminess of the acai. Topped with a drizzle of honey, the bowl has the perfect hint of sweetness without overpowering the natural flavors.
Portion Size & Presentation
One thing I love about Playa Bowls is that they don’t skimp on the portions. The Pura Vida bowl is generous, making it a perfect choice for breakfast, a mid-day snack, or even a light lunch. The toppings are beautifully arranged, making it as visually appealing as it is delicious.
Ambiance & Service
The Wilmington location has a laid-back, welcoming vibe that aligns perfectly with Playa Bowls’ beachy branding. The staff is friendly and efficient, always ready with recommendations and willing to make adjustments if you have dietary preferences. The atmosphere feels casual yet clean, and you’ll often see locals stopping in for their go-to orders.
Price & Value
For the quality of ingredients and portion size, I think Playa Bowls offers excellent value. The Pura Vida Acai Bowl is priced reasonably compared to other acai bowls in the area, and the freshness and flavor make it worth every penny. It’s a satisfying, nourishing option for anyone looking to eat healthy without compromising on taste.
Overall Experience
If you’re an acai bowl lover or new to the trend, the Pura Vida at Playa Bowls is a fantastic option. Playa Bowls brings a taste of the tropics to Wilmington, with high-quality ingredients and an inviting atmosphere that’s hard to beat. I highly recommend giving the Pura Vida Acai Bowl a try—it’s a flavorful, wholesome treat that leaves you feeling both energized and indulged."
"The protein bites are tasty but I was taken aback with the portion size. It's 3 small pieces about ping pong ball size. Not worth the $8 price tag in my opinion. Every bowl I've had is great though- good quality, good portion size and fresh toppings. My favorite is the Tropical Acai Bowl"
