"I'm surprised at the negative reviews the portions were appropriate for the price and the injera was really delicious and a good amount. I ordered two portions of injera and had leftovers for two days. The red lentils was really really good 10/10 perfect blend of spices. The yellow lentils, gomen and cabbage were regular but tasty although the yellow lentils were a little dry like they needed just a little more water but overall very delicious and has home cooked taste."

They are exceptionally expensive for the size of their sandwiches and salads (how expensive is lettuce, for real). If Jersey Mike's or Mr. Pickles were closer, I'd rarely order from here. That said, the bread is very good, as are the soups on the days they have something I like. "I am obsessed with Asaka. I just ordered from them a few days ago and was already ready for another round. I think this is some of the best "hole in the wall" sushi spots in the East Bay. My husbands face lit up when he took his first bite of the 38. Sushi Pizza Roll. The fish is very fresh and it has a beautiful presentation. Asaka is definitely our new go to spot. We can't wait to come visit in person."

"The Gallo pinto is on point! The papusas are good. I think they need to salt the masa just a little more but they make them well! The Desayuno Nicaraguense is so bomb! Very comforting. The platano is perfect! They give you queso frito too which is basically why I order this plate! It is deep fried instead of pan fried though. No problem with that the queso para frier they use is really good. My only suggestion is to make an appetizer of just queso frito. Dont sleep on them!"
"The good:
The papusas were delicious. We had the bean a cheese and jalapeños and cheese. The pickled cabbage was on point and full of flavor.
The not good:
The fries were undercooked, soggy and tasted like oil. Sadly we threw them out. Also the food was not even started when we got there even though we scheduled our pickup ahead of time and they appeared to not be busy.
In conclusion we will be getting food there again. "
